NSW: Think before you buy a pet, minister says

New South Wales Local Government Minister KERRY HICKEY says people should think before
they buy a pet as a Christmas present, .

He says thousands of animals are surrendered to the RSPCA every year .. or simply abandoned
.. by people who haven't thought about the long-term responsibilities of owning a pet.
